Below is a list of some of the ideas our students have for being friendly to the Earth:
- "Clean it up!"
- "No littering"
- "Do not pollute the air!"
- "Use bikes more than cars!"
- "Buy green products!"
We have been involved in many great activities this year. To start the year off, we began a litterless lunch campaign. We made sure that everybody understood what a litterless lunch was and why bringing a litterless lunch to school is so important. We also worked towards becoming certified as an Eco-School through the TDSB program. Through this, we will join over 100 other Toronto schools who want to do their part for the planet. Our seed-planting program got students digging in the dirt to grow wildflowers, herbs, and vegetables which we sold during our Fun Fair. The community has also been involved in our activities through our community cleanup event. Not only was the Parent Council involved in the cleanup, but the local community centre and our city Councillor too!

Below is a list of the other projects we have on the go:
- 20/20 program to reduce home energy consumption by 20%
- Bringing in ecoMentors to help us with our projects
- Inviting Earth Rangers to teach us about wildlife conservation
- Environment week celebrations
We found lots of great programs with a green focus to help us learn more about the environment. In addition to ecokids.ca we also love the David Suzuki Nature Challenge, which gives everyone some simple ways they can help the planet in their daily lives.

We hope that kids everywhere are helping to do something for the planet and we wish you good luck with all your green ideas! We can make a difference if we all work together!
