Making our way down to the beach.

We started our school year with a successful event – an Oceanside Clean-Up! On September 21st 2007 our school walked to our local beach to clean it up. We found all kinds of garbage all the way down the hill which leads up to the beach, and along the shoreline.

The kids were shocked at the amount of garbage that we found. One student, Jacob stated, “There was a lot of garbage!” However, after the Oceanside Clean-Up another student, Amelia said, “After we left there was no more garbage.” Grace said that she liked picking up garbage.

Byeong-Min expressed his feelings by saying “I want the ocean to be clean,” while Marcella noted, “It felt great to do the Oceanside Clean-Up.” Sana felt that “we did a great job on our cleaning.”

As the winter season rolls in, we will keep you posted with our ongoing activities. Way to go Four Seasons Montessori EcoKids!
