When our Green Team began six years ago, we began with the idea of collecting recyclable juice containers to raise funds and to educate the students about how waste affects the environment. Since then we have been able to develop and maintain a system of sorting in our recycling program that matches the City´s goal of source separation.

Our Green Team has been responsible for educating and training all of the staff and students at our school in the area of waste management. We also work to maintain the system and are available when things go wrong. We use only blue and green bags throughout the school. With the help of our local Solid Waste Management Corporation, our school has significantly reduced the amount of garbage going to the landfill.

We are determined as ever to help keep our planet clean by reducing waste. We´re very proud that our K-4 school has accomplished so much!
