Mount Logan
In the Native Athapaskan language, the word "Yukon" means "the Great River" or "big river." Mount Logan, the highest peak in Canada at over 5,800 metres is still growing according to scientists and rises through surrounding glaciers. In order to climb Mount Logan you will need to take a helicopter ride there!

Northern Lights
Flickering dancing lights against the dark sky…these are the northern lights, the name given to the light phenomenon often seen in the northern regions. These lights have been around since Earth formed an atmosphere – the dinosaurs saw it, the early humans saw it and our descendants will see it! The scientific name for the northern lights is “aurora borealis.”

Blow River Minerals
In the Blow River area, more than 30 types of rare phosphate minerals have been discovered! Many of these are brand new to science and never before seen. The exceptionally rare lazulite crystal is the official gemstone of the Yukon and samples of these minerals are on display in Whitehorse, the capital of Yukon Territory.
