Tulips come in a variety of different colours such as white, red and yellow. However, they do not come in blue or true black.

Tulips first appeared in Asia and merchants brought tulips to the Netherlands more than 400 years ago. By 1600, the country was the centre of tulip production. Now, they are one of the most common spring flowering bulbs.
Likes to Hang Out:
Tulips prefer indirect light and moderately moist soil conditions. However many tulips also grow on rocky, mountain slopes in Asia.
Benefits of the Plant:
The bulbs of tulips store food that allows plants to survive throughout the winter. This allows them to feed on them while it is dormant (the state of resting or inactivity).
Status:
Tulips come in many varieties and are found all over the world. Both wild and cultivated tulip populations are generally healthy and do not require conservation efforts.
