Look out for some multiple choice questions as you go. Every time you answer a question correctly, you will get a bonus point for the 'Scientists at Work' activity.
Lots of different kinds of scientists are doing things to help us understand climate and climate change better.
There are scientists that study climate and weather patterns. Some scientists use computers to make models of what the climate will be like in the future. It's very complicated, but the scientists know what they are doing. The computer models they use are called General Circulation Models. Scientists call them GCMs for short.
Other scientists study things like ice cores, tree rings, and rocks. They do this to figure out what the climate was like in the past. This info can be used to help scientists figure out what climate will be like in the future.
