Curriculum

Every teacher can use current and local issues to develop their student's understanding of the link between their classroom and the world just past the double doors. We have included the Curriculum Connections section so teachers have a clear idea of how this activity may be brought into their classroom.

Learning Objectives

  • Produce works of art, combining written and visual components that communicate thoughts, feelings and ideas for specific purposes to specific audiences.
  • Make various connections between what they are learning in school and their actions now and in the future, and between what they are learning and real life.
  • Create effective media pieces that will communicate ideas and information to the general public or a selected audience.
  • Recognize how their personal actions/effort at educating their community have real effects.
