Curriculum
The Data Detectives activity is designed to give students the opportunity to witness the impacts of their actions. It allows them to observe, record and present data on the changes they have influenced with engine idlers in their community.
Learning Objectives
- Record their data.
- Present data in tabular form.
- Analyze data through graphs and equations.
Learning Tasks
- Record observations on tally sheets.
- Perform calculations to quantify results of observations and obtain results of idling rates.
- Graph results.
- Compare and contrast results.
- Discuss results and submit to EcoKids.ca care of ecokids@earthday.ca.
